It's no secret that we heart cupcakes -- and when we say heart, we mean HEART. They are the perfect-sized dessert with flavors to make just about every palette happy. Just enough cake and just enough frosting...it's perfection, really. We tried several cupcakeries throughout LA and OC...and we've found one that meets our criteria for a grrreat cupcake: the Cherry Cheesecake at BabyCakes in Torrance.What can we say about this cupcake? It's absolutely ridiculous. Featuring a spice cake "crust", the Cherry Cheesecake tastes just like the real thing. Seriously. It's even topped with cherry pie filling. It's heavenly - so moist, yet not overwhelmingly sweet. Our taste testers (who are Red Velvet aficionados) even said the Cherry Cheesecake was better than any Red Velvet they've tasted.
Cupcakes start at $2.50. Check 'em out. You'll be glad you did.
