OK, I admit I have a bit of an addiction to coffee. Although I can't actually finish a cup of it in the morning, I find that a good cup of coffee is a great afternoon snack for me. And for so long, my coffee shop of choice was Sabor y Cultura on Hollywood Blvd. The Mexican mocha is to die for!!! A harmonious blend of Mexican chocolate, espresso, cinnamon and steamed milk, this drink never fails to put a smile on my face. And while my loyalty will always remain with the Hollywood establishment, I have found a worthy contender for the flavorful concoction...Nordstrom.
Shocking, I know. I had no idea that anyone else was brewing the good stuff, but our friends at Nordies are doing an impressive job behind the bar creating heaven in a cup.
Wanna make your own? Try this recipe from Coffee-Recipe.com:
- 1 1/2 cups strong coffee
- 4 teaspoons chocolate syrup
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
Put 1 teaspoon of chocolate syrup into each cup. Mix Whipping cream, 1/4 teaspoon of the cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar. Whip until you have soft peaks. Place the last 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon into coffee, and stir. Pour coffee into cups, stir to mix in chocolate syrup. Top with whipped cream mixture. Makes four servings.
Enjoy!
